Are Toyota owners really safe to be behind the wheel of their cars?
We know there has been an American family tragically killed due to a fault with their Toyota, and that there have also been further injuries sustained by Toyota owners worldwide. If the accelerator jams on in a manual car, all you need to do is press the clutch, then turn the engine off, leaving the key in the ignition. The vehicle will gradually slow down and then you simply apply the brakes carefully, while indicating and steering towards the side of the roadIn automatic you just apply the brakes carefully to cause deceleration and then put the car in neutral, and then manoeuvre the car to the side of the road.So with the above in mind, why is it Toyota drivers seem incapable of doing this which is realy basic common sense for any competent driver. What's your opinion?
How come there are no Peugeot cars in North America?
Somehow I think it is fair to assume this applies to French cars as I have not seen any Citroens either.
Tis For Buying a Used Car- Where To Start?
I have a few cars I am looking at but I wondered what the smartest way to go about it would be.1. I DO have a trade in, but should I have heard to FIRST let them give you a monthly payment quote off the top and THEN say, " o.k., I also have a trade in or X amount to give down." 2. I also want to shop around for the best interest rate on the loan, but want to avoid checking my credit with too many different companies.3. The cars I am interested in are hours away. Could I have my car appraised anywhere and use that as a good estimate on what they would give me for it?THANKS 10 points
Is there a standard car stereo size?
I want to put a radio CD player into my 1995 Nissan Altima. There's a lot of ads on Craigslist for some used ones, but do I need to ask for measurements or is there a standard size for a stereo that fits in all cars?

Car accident question. help me out yahoo.?
So my employer asked me to drive four employees to a training because they dont have cars. What would happen if I got into an accident that was my fault, would the company cover it or would I get reamed and sued? Would it make a difference if I punched in first?I think I am going to say no. I have been sued once already for an accident
Can a car dealership try to change the contract after several months?
We purchased a used vehicle with about 80k miles on it in June. We opted for the extended service plan for about $1895 extra due to the high mileage. In February 7 months later we took it to the dealership per the warranty instructions to have a rattle inspected, which we are certain is an issue that should be covered under the warranty. First they told us they " weren't sure" what exactly was wrong with it, and to drive it until it got a little worse. When we explained that it HAS gotten worse over the past several months, they still stalled us on it. Now about a week later, we suddenly got a letter from the dealership stating that the ESP that they sold us is only valid on cars for up to 60k miles, so it's no longer valid. WHAT The car had more than that when they SOLD it to us And the paperwork says nothing about that believe me, I reviewed it several times They want us to come in and re write the deal. Can they still do this after so long? I'm concerned on several levels, but a big factor is that I lost my job this summer, and now have significantly less income than I did last June. We certainly can afford the payments, that's not a problem, but I am worried that they might re write the whole deal and make us get re financed again, in which case we might not get the same interest rate and terms due to the income change. I want to have a little legwork done before I go in to see the dealership to discuss this, so any help from the web is much appreciated. We are hard working, honest people, and just want the deal that we were promised, nothing more, nothing less.
